I like this photo of the Merrivale stone row on Dartmoor in the rain. As the rain approached I had mixed emotions; cursing due to the thought of getting soaked along with my son, but also excited about the potential photo of the rain falling beyond the ancient stone row. I think it represents how my photography has been so far in 2016; I think it has rained every time I have ventured out with photography in mind! I shot this at the wide end of my 70-200mm lens to compress the perspective; the rain and hills beyond the stone row would have been too small otherwise. I think it also makes the main end stone of the south row look a lot more imposing.
